how to use selectInput(), save(), selectOutput() ?

what I have created is a painting program I want user to be able to load an image from where he wishes from a storage drive
and load onto the sketch modify it and save into a folder of the users choosing
I have looked at the example code from the processing website but I don't really understand maybe it is because I had not any experience in programming before processing I have searched for example on-line of people actually using them in their work but I can find none
I will be very grateful if you gents could help me out.
