How to take keyboard output from processing?

Hello Everyone,

I have started working processing and opencv libraries. What I am basically doing is tracking the head coordinates and want to map those coordinates to keyboard output. i.e. what i want is when my head mves right, right arrow key shud be press and when it moves left left arrow key shud be pressed.

I have completed the tracking part but I dont know how to ORDER my laptop that left/right arrow key has been pressed.i.e. without physically pressing the keys, I want my laptop to believe that I have pressed the right and left key. how can i do that?

To what end?

If your goal is controlling something within your processing sketch, you should not have to fake a key press to get keyPressed() to do something - just do what keyPressed() would have done if that key was pressed.

If your goal is to control something outside of your Processing sketch, then look into using the Robot class. It allows you to control the keyboard/mouse outside of your processing sketch.

I think he wants the robot class.

But I dunno whether processing can pass the keys over to another program (because it has the focus but has not...).
