How to save data from an online applet?

I am planning to put an applet online and I would like to be able to record and save some of the user's clicks.

The applet is a kind of interactive form. I know very little how to do these kind of things. Could anyone advise me how I could do that?

Also, I have never put an applet online, how is that done?

Any hints, names of libs or anything are welcome...

Where are you saving the clicks to... the user's computer, or some database?
It doesn't really matter, you're going to have to sign the applet...

To put the applet online...

There are a couple of hosting services, such as OpenProcessing...
If you want it on your own site, then you can embed the code found in the generated "index.html" file in the applet folder into your own website.

I want to have the applet on my website and save the data there. So not on the user's computer.

Do I need to sign the applet in that case too?

Most likely, yes...
It isn't that difficult...

No need to sign the applet if it communicates with the server that hosts it.
