How to save a SVG in Illustrator so text appears?

I got a warning from Processing on running my app that text should be converted to outlines. The SVG loads and draws fine, but the text doesn't appear.

I tried two things:

(1) Convert the text to outlines inside Illustrator by right clicking on the text.

(2) Selecting the Convert to outlines drop down option in the dialog that pops up when saving as SVG.

Either way, I'm getting the same results as if I had done nothing, ie I see the warning and no text on the drawing.

Suggestions? TIA

Hmm weird. I just tried this and it worked (Processing 1.2.1). I converted the text to outlines by right-clicking. It seems your text is in fact not outlined when it's loaded into Processing, because you get a warning. So doublecheck you have saved it and are using the right file. With regard to Illustrator settings use: SVG Profiles: SVG 1.1 and Type: SVG.

Thanks amnon. That worked for me.

Right click for convert to outline

And

Save as Type SVG (not convert to outline).

I should add that since the SVG is resized a range of sizes the outlined text don't look so good. It will be better for me to keep the graphics in the SVG and draw the text using Processing.
