how to protect the exported .exe file form hackers?

Hi Every One,

I have a question regarding security issue, that Suppose if I have made a sketch, export it and give its .exe file (or exported application folder) to some one for demo , then how can I protect the .exe file from the hackers?

What do you think "the hackers" would do to your sketch if it's unprotected?

Using ProGuard or similar can be a first step...

Hi Philho,

First of all, thank you so much for your reply.

As you told me about ProGuard , I have searched about it, and download it from here.

As the README file (resides in the ProGuard folder) , First, I run proguard.jar @proguard.pro from the command prompt, it gives me proguard_out.jar. But when I try to open it, it gives nothing.

Second, I run proguard.jar @proguardgui.pro from command prompt , it give a proguardgui_out.jar, and it opens ProGuard Software.

Then, I follow the suggestions as in this video.

But the resulting .jar file didn't run . (It gives only gray screen.)

I am sure , may be I missing something

Mmm, the PApplet needs the original name of the class to run it, since it uses reflection.
You might need to protect at least this name from ProGuard. I believe there are parameters for such protection.
