Hello!

I need help:
We have a dog animation which follows the mouse. If the mouse goes to the left side, the dog follows. But if the mouse goes to right side, the dog should follow too. But he should look to the right side, so we want to set the image of the dog which looks to the left side invisible and show the dog which looks to the right side.

Knows anybody how to set the image invisible?

make a condition:
something like that:

if (mouseX < posDogX)
{
image(dogWalkingToLeft, posDogX, posDogY);
}
else
{
image(dogWalkingToRight, posDogX, posDogY);
}

Do you know a function before void draw(), which "draws" just for one time?

you could make it with a boolean:

boolean runOnStar;
void setup()
{
runOnStart = true;
}
void draw()
{
if (runOnStart == true)
{
onStart();
}
//rest of the Program
}
void onStart()
{
//insert code here.
runOnStart = false;
}

in elendilch code-snippet, " boolean runOnStart = true;" has to be declared global (not inside setup() )!

this function already exists and is called " void setup()"

there are other methods, that usually no ones needs:

void setup() {
size( 300, 300 );
frameRate(1);
registerPre(this);
registerPost(this);
println("setup()");
}
public void pre(){
println("\npre()");
}
void draw() {
println("draw()");
}
public void post(){
println("post()");
}
