I would like to know how to get rid of the background of my image so that I can just see the main part of it.

So, say I have a picture of a dolphin on a white background, I want to get rid of the white background and just see the dolphin! :)

Thanks, I would post my current code, but there's a hell of a lot of it and I thought it wouldn't be too hard too explain without it :)

Okay I worked it out, I saved my images as a .gif

If that is just a short term workaround and not the right thing to do, then please inform me ASAP! :D

Gif has only a limited number of colors. Use PNG instead!
