How to create side by side stereoscopic real- time displays in processing?

Hi,

My TV apparently only allows for side by side format and top and bottom 3D format.

I like to seek advise on how to develop a side by side 3D format processing sketch?

If you could share the approach or codes on how this could be done I would be most grateful.

Really hope you guys could advise further?

Unfortunately this example does not work anymore in Processing 2.0b8. Any idea how the current syntax for glViewport is?

I tried the following without sucess:

It's about the only resource on direct opengl calls in 2.0b8. You can probably use that to fix the example.

Thanks for the hint. Unfortunately the Processing 2.0 OpenGL example in the wiki does not work with Processing 2.0b8. It seems like gl = pgl.beginPGL().gl.getGL2(); has to be called every frame in draw().

I'll continue with trial and error. One glViewport already works. But as soon as i am adding a second one, the first one disappears.

SableRaf's solution is a good fallback if nothing else works. Unfortunately there's a lot of rewriting necessary for existing sketches.

Hi everyone,

I simplified my code so you don't have to write the drawing calls twice anymore (less rewriting for existing sketches):

However, the objects in the scene are still drawn twice which is pretty lame. Is there a way to get the output of a camera as a PImage or PGraphic? Preferably not using a contributed lib.

EDIT: I guess what we're looking for is a 2.0 native equivalent of the GLGraphics solutions proposed in this thread https://forum.processing.org/topic/copy-the-current-viewport-to-a-gltexture Through the PGL object I suppose.
