How to check if a variable has changed within a minute???

Hi,

I want to check if a variable has changed within a minute, and if not I want to raise a flag...
I know that the minute() function returns computer minute, but I was wondering about the implementation of the above statement...

You'll need to store two more values; the previous value of the variable, and the last time that you checked. Then, every time that millis() has exceeded the last check plus one minute, you check to see if the variable is the same as the last one. Like this:

//Global variables
int val; //The variable
int lastVal; //The last value
int lastCheck; //The last check
...
void draw() {
...
//If it's been more than a minute (60000 milliseconds is one minute)
if(millis() > lastCheck + 60000) {
if(val == lastVal) {
//The variable is the same
} else {
//The variable is different
}
lastVal = val; //Update the most recent value
}
}
