How to activate LegoNXT red LED for the light sensor using processing?

Hi, I'm new to processing and I'm doing a project that requires me to read using the LegoNXT light sensor.

So I'm wondering what do I need to do in order to turn on the red LED that comes with the LegoNXT Light sensor cos the sensor value is pretty low.

I've tried using this command setLightSensorType but it doesn't work for me?

Hope someone good can give me some advice, thanks in advance.

Using the NXTComm library, the function:

int getLight(int portNumber)

Should do the trick! Just specify the index that the sensor is plugged into, and it should return a value between 0-100 corresponding to the light level read from the sensor.

I've already tried using that (getLight) command but it does start the light sensor but the Red LED does not turns on which will cause the sensor reading to be very small.

I've also used this setLightSensorType(int type, int portNumber) where int type must be either ACTIVE or UNACTIVE but I don't know how to use that.

So do anyone have a solution on how to solve the question and thanks in advance and Jack. =)

Ahh yeah you want it to be an active sensor then, that turns on the LED.

Something like this should do the trick... (I haven't tested the code but hopefully it puts you on the right track!)
