go to next screen???

Hi.

I am wondering how to do an intro screen and when mouse is pressed the main part is displayed.
I think, mousePressed, but maybe there is a better way?

I'm very new with processing.

mousePressed would work fine. Just use a boolean that triggers the main code.

boolean maincode = false;
void setup() {
size(300,200);
}
void draw() {
background(0);
if (!maincode) { //maincode is false
//draw your splash screen
} else { //maincode is true
//draw your main program code
}
}
void mousePressed() {
maincode = true;
}

If you wanted to get fancy, you could do a fade out/in.

boolean maincode = false;
boolean fade = false;
int fadealpha = 0;
void setup() {
size(300,200);
}
void draw() {
background(0);
if (!maincode) { //maincode is false
//draw your splash screen
fill(255); //example
rect(100,50,100,100); //example
//Fade out
if (fade) {
fill(0,fadealpha);
rect(0,0,width,height);
fadealpha = fadealpha + 3;
if (fadealpha > 255) {
maincode = true;
}
}
}
else { //maincode is true
//draw your main program code
fill(255,0,0); //example
rect(100,50,100,100); //example
