In a for loop, a++ and ++a are exactly the same thing. The order matters only if used in an expression.
Other remark: use
  for (int a = 1; a < lines.length; ++a) {
instead of an arbitrary number that can be wrong if you change the file. That's another way to avoid the error you got.
And, generally, we start at 0, unless you have a reason to skip the first line.

In
for ( int i=0; i<=9; i++){
you can also have this error at the end: use i < 9 instead, or, as I wrote, i < coloum.length

This guy just prints the loaded string in the consol.

Same error as above (but you fixed the others): for ( int i=0; i<=coloum.length; i++){
An array of n items has indices going from 0 to n-1, so we use < instead of <= as guard of the end of the loop.
Note 1: since you overwrite coloum at each loop, no need to initialize it.
Note 2: in the loop in setup(), you only get the columns of the last line of your file, the others are processed but lost on each next iteration.

I don't understand your last sentence.
Beside, are you aware that your loop will overlay all the lines at the same place? And repeat on each frame... You need a background() call, and perhaps to use draw() as loop.
