Get Device Serial Number

Hello,

I've searched the forum for a similar topic, but I haven't found about this.

I'd like to read from Processing the Device Serial Number, but I don't know how should it be done (something to do with android.os.Build.SERIAL).

Try this approach (the first answer).
You'll need to import android.content.Context and android.telephony.TelephonyManager.

Thanks, it worked (returns the IMEI).

I've also tested the Secure ANDROID_ID* which doesn't need any permission:

import android.provider.Settings.Secure;
String AndroidID = Secure.getString(getContentResolver(),Secure.ANDROID_ID) +"\0";

*It's "randomly generated on the device's first boot and should remain constant for the lifetime of the device.".

Serial Number (Build.SERIAL) was not a good idea; returns NULL on my phone.
