G4P Slider Rotation

I'm after a little help. I'm new to this and i want to use Quarks G4p slider.

However i need the slider in the vertical plane, not the horizontal. I've tried searching and playing with the code but cannot get the slider vertical.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Any control can be rotated with the setRotation() method e.g.

slider.setRotation(angle_in_radians);

With sliders you can also set the text alignment with setTextOrientation() e.g.

slider.setTextOrientation(orientation);

where orientation is
G4P.ORIENT_TRACK            parallel to track
G4P.ORIENT_LEFT               perpendicular to track
G4P.ORIENT_RIGHT            perpendicular to track (opposite to LEFT)

All the slider options can be seen in the example called G4P_Slider_Config (comes with library)

In fact I suggest that you look at all the examples to get an idea of what is possible with G4P

Ahhhh perfect. I new it was a simple answer!!! There is some good stuff in there.

I do have one problem though, When i place the slider into my gui and move the marker, the position value does not move with the slider.

It instead displays all the values the marker on the slider comes to rest at.

Any ideas?

move the marker - I assume by dragging with te mouse?

Not sure what you mean - can you reproduce the behaviour with the G4P_Slider_Config example - is so post the options you selected so I can try it myself. It not can you post the smallest amount of code that demonstrates the problem.

Yes when im dragging the mouse, But when the 'Opaque' part is true it does not do it.

Here is the screen with it happening:

The only way I can reproduce the problem is if the opaque is false AND I remove line 20 - background(200,200,255)

In your sketch have you got a call to background(???) at the start of your draw method?
