If I read correctly the code, the lowest parameter you can put in BLUR is 0.28
It is multiplied by 3.5 and caped at 1 if lower.
I suppose the algorithm cannot work with lower values.

wow! i did not know that! and while testing, it didn't seem to have any effect below 1.
