Facebook FBML and Processing

I'm wondering if processing can be used to develop facebook FBML content. I know nearly nothing about FBML but its Facebook's version of a custom web page. I don't know what it's capabilities are, but, I am curious if anyone in the processing community is aware of using processing in connection with content displayed on a facebook page. Could/is processing being used for facebook application development? Are there libraries in development for working with facebook?

According to Facebook:

We are in the process of deprecating FBML. If you are building a new application on Facebook.com, please implement your application using HTML, JavaScript and CSS. You can use our JavaScript SDK and Social Plugins to embedded many of the same social features available in FBML. While there is still functionality that we have not ported over yet, we are no longer adding new features to FBML.

Does anyone have any tips or examples for getting started html w/ javascript and css ... e.g. using processing.js for developing applications for facebook?

I have developed a sketch in Processing that I would like to turn into a Facebook App and am currently making an attempt to do so, mostly unsuccessfully thus far with my limited programming experience. I'm using Facebook's partner app hosting service Heroku to host my sketch, along with some Processing.js code in a <canvas> tag, all linked in an HTML file like their site recommends, but so far no luck in getting it to display.

If anyone has had any success integrating Processing sketches with Facebook, please share your stories.
