Export and Run a App on Webspace?

Hello Processing Community.

I wrote a bigger game in Processing and want to publish it as a browsergame.
I bought webspace and own a domain and have no idea how to export the game on the website.
Finally it should be possible to go on the website and play the game.

The game has many png graphics and is more than one .pde file.

How can I do this?

Is your processing game made in Java mode or JavaScript mode?

If it's JavaScript mode you haveto use Export functionality. If it is in Java mode, then you have first to adjust your sketch to comply with JavaScript (which means you may have to redo certain parts of the game from scratch). And then export it in JavaScript mode.

Ok,thanks Í switched and run it in the Javascript mode and I got a html,the template,pde..looks good.
But I got the site without the application and it wont run.How can I find the bug or find out why it
wont run? I use Firefox and updated java,the plugins usw,Internet Explorer didnt work too.

As I mentioned earlier, if you developed skech in Java mode, it needs to be "adjusted" to work in JavaScript.

If it is [your original game sketch is made] in Java mode, then you have first to adjust your sketch to comply with JavaScript [ProcessingJS] (which means you may have to redo certain parts of the game from scratch).

If you're used to Java, then you may read this quick introduction into ProcessingJS for people who are already familiar with Java

Here's the screenshot of one of my sketches which didn't survive conversion from Java to JavaScript(ProcessingJS).

On the image you can see that the "screen" area of the sketch is empty. And also if you open WebConsole in Firefox Ctrl+Shift+K (or Developer Tools in Chrome) you can see that there's an error in interpretation of your sketch.

Usually it means that in your sketch you're using some structure which doesn't work in ProcessingJS. Error messages you find in console are usually not helpful, but that's the best you can get.

Ok,thanks this is helpfull.

Hm this is getting hard.Console only says:
"[15:21:25.829] uncaught exception: Processing.js: Unable to execute pjs sketch: SyntaxError: missing variable name"

Hm,I think its a bad idea to start completely new and wrote everything again because its very much code.
I post my sourcecode,maybe anyone can do something with it.

Your best bet would be to register with www.openprocessing.org and upload your java-version of sketch there.

Also I would suggest two things:

a) for the future: if you want someone else to look at your code: write comments and function names in English (not in German).

b) Start using arrays. You can take a look at lessons at http://funprogramming.org/ which have word "array" in the title. Or seach youtube for "processing arrays tutorial" or smth.

Hm I use lots of bigger arrays,but I need normal variables too eg. as counters.

My mistake is,I thought I could programm a browsergame with the normal Processing in Javamode and put it than simply to my webspace where every visitor can play it.
It will be difficult to find one or more bugs in a code with more than 6000 lines.

I thought it would work as on openprocessing.org and I could put my code easily to the website.Openprocessing has brought me to the idea with the browsergame but in opposite to it it should have an own website with its own domain.

How does the system with the normal javacode work on openprocessing.org or processing.org? Is the Processing application build in in the website?

Ich beschreibe mein Problem hier nochmal in Deutsch weil es einfacher ist das ganze so umfassender zu beschreiben und die Problematik auszudrücken: Ich hatte gedacht das ich eine normale Processing Anwendung die im normalen Javamodus geschrieben wurde ganz einfach zu einer Website hinzufügen kann und sie dort für die Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung stellen kann,da das ganze ja auf openprocessing.org und co auch so funktionierd.Das Ganze ist ein größeres Projekt sprich Spiel das aufgrund seines großen Umfangs eine eigene Website mit Domain besitzen soll.Hätte ich das ganze auf openprocessing.org hochgeladen würde ja jetzt kein Problem bestehen aber das möchte ich eben nicht.Aber wie funktionierd das dann dort wenn Benutzer ihren normalen Javacode hochladen und er dann online nutzbar ist.Funktionierd das ganze über eine eingebundene Processinganwendung oder wie kann ich mir das vorstellen?

I made a new project for testing and even the simplest things didnt work...
Where is the problem,the reference says exact the same.

It would be useful to indicate what was your problem and how you solved it. Eg. some browsers won't run a JS program from an HTML file read from file:// (the hard disk) but will run it if downloaded from a site (even locahost).

Firefox and its derivatives like SeaMonkey, Pale Moon, Waterfox, Iceweasel, Songbird, etc.,
run local HTML files w/ the same privileges as remote ones.

For Opera, go to opera:config -> User Prefs -> Always Load User JavaScript.
Mark that option, then click Save button.
