eclipse problems and errors

Hello, I have been experiencing allot of problems with eclipse. It sometimes has changed the code on me. Sometimes an error disappears when you stop and start eclipse or reboot.

Right now a program that was working, I made a few changes that didn't work, went back to the original code and now it won't work. It won't even compile, says there are errors that need to be fixed but not a trace of what the error could be. I have made my share of errors but I don't think this is the case here; not to mention the dreaded "...require 2 segments minimum" error.

Have any of you experienced these problems? Should I be re-installing eclipse?

Hard to tell with this vague description (you don't even report what errors you have, except for one).
But worth a try. Perhaps with a different version. Also check your version of Java. If you are on a Unix system, prefer to use an Oracle version of Java, over the OpenJDK one.

I never saw the " require 2 segments minimum" error and I have no idea of what it can be... (and I use Eclipse a lot!)

I have had this problem - for no aparent reason Eclipse sudden decides there are loads of non-existant errors in my project (lots of little red boxes). I found the only way to solve the problem was to clean the project (select Project | Clean from the menus).

So you might try that.
