Duplicate Libraries in 2.0

Hi...

I'm attempting to update a sketch made in 1.5.1 to 2.0a6, and it utilizes the GML4U library, which is also dependent upon Toxiclibs Vec3D class...

When I attempt to run the sketch, I get a console error that says "Duplicate libraries found for toxi.geom"

The stack trace looks like this:

Oh... and the Imports are like this:

If it is shipped as a separate jar, try and remove the toxiclib from GML4U, since it is duplicate with the one you already have. Hoping they are of compatible versions...

Good call... didn't even think of that.

It worked, but now my version of ControlP5 isn't compatible with 2.0... off to do some more research!

Hi Jesse, I have successfully tested 0.7.5 with 206 rv9771 2.0a6. with the opengl renderer the bitfont renders blurry but thanks to andres this issue has been fixed with the latest processing repository updates (for now you would need to compile processing from source to get a crisp bitfont rendering) . What are the incompatibilities you are encountering?

Oh, it's the 'online' No Such Field error... I remember that from another thread. I'll try to update and see if it goes away

EDIT:

Still broken for 2.0a6, but will work with 5 or 7 when it comes out.

ah ok, sorry my mistake, I am currently working with a processing version built from source (206 rv9771). 0.7.5 does still throw the NoSuchFieldError exception with 2.0a6 available from the download site. variable 'online' will be back (deprecated though) with a newer version.

I have made changes to my earlier post.

Yeah, I figured as much. It's no problem, I can use an older build and/or wait...

Hello everyone,

I'm getting a similar error - All my code works for 1.5.1 and I am updating it to work with 2.0 to work with the awesome updates. Unfortunately, I am getting a duplicate library error:

My libraries look like this:

//processing serial library:

import processing.serial.*;

//minim sound synthesis libraries:

import ddf.minim.*;

import ddf.minim.signals.*;

import ddf.minim.analysis.*;

import ddf.minim.effects.*;

The error looks like this:

The message, and the thread, seemed explicit enough for me...
I don't know why you added a Serial library to your libraries folder, but you have to remove it.

...
I hope you have not the Processing program in C:\Users\rtalaman\Documents\Processing!
Always separate your binaries (programs) from your data (your sketches).

Hi!

Thanks for the response - I removed the set of libraries I had in C:\Users\rtalaman\Documents\Processing and I am no longer getting the error. Where is the best place to put the Processing program and libraries? I have everything in Documents right now.

Some people just put it in Program Files (x86), but it is annoying to do in recent version of Windows, and I generally avoid to put Java programs in paths with spaces, so I put it in C:\Java\Processing (actually, I append the version number to Processing, as I keep several versions).
