Only P5SunflowApiApi automatically transfers processing lines into sunflow-visible objects.

It does so by converting them into sunflow hair primitives, because there are indeed no "lines" in real-world lighting.

Of course if you are using SunflowApiApi you could also do this manually. One other thing. Going from OpenGL to Sunflow you have to mind the reverse-Y due to their respective coordinate systems. In the example below the two are synced by reversing the Y in the OpenGL version, but I usually flip the sunflow Y's to match my opengl version.

Suppose you define some stuff globally, such as the color and the coordinates of a single line.

1. color lineColor = color(0);
2. float[] lineCoordinates = new float[] { xStart,yStart,zStart, xEnd,yEnd,zEnd };

Then in processing/opengl you would show this line by calling...

1. stroke(lineColor);
2. line(lineCoordinates[0],-lineCoordinates[1],lineCoordinates[2], // xyzStart
   
3. lineCoordinates[3],-lineCoordinates[4],lineCoordinates[5]); // xyzEnd
   

...and in sunflow you would show this line by calling...

1. int numSegments = 1; // 6 points = 1 segment, 9 points = 2 segments etc.
   
2. float[] lineWidths = new float[] { .3f }; // necessary due to syntax in the api
   
3. sunflow.setConstantShader("myLineShader", new Color(lineColor));
4. sunflow.drawHair("myLine", numSegments, lineCoordinates, lineWidths);

Very interesting.. I was wondering why there were discrepancies between the JavaDoc and SunflowAPIAPI.java, it's because I followed your detail in the blogpost, http://amnonp5.wordpress.com/2010/09/28/sunflow-processing/ - to take advantage of OpenGL etc.

I did see drawHair, but didn't see the possibility there :)
