Drawing different Curves with various colors

Hi,

I'm just start with processing, so excuse me if my question is maybe to easy to ask, but I didn't find an answer on the internet. I want to draw curves, that are different in there length, direction and have a different body. They only should have the same startpoint, the middle of the page. I start to try it, but my curves look really crazy and I didn't get it yet. Besides, I want that they have different colors, too. Please could someone help me? Thanks!

Can you show your code?
By first glance, using different colors would require stroke()...

I've tried many things, so I have at this time no final code.

size(500, 500);
background(255);
smooth();
}

void draw(){
if(mousePressed){
noFill();
stroke(0);
beginShape();

At first I worked with bezier curves and I tried to work with variables ... just a little trying

int a = 250;
int b = 300;
vertex(0, a);
bezierVertex(0, a, 200, 450, 300, a);
bezierVertex(300, a, 400, 50 , 500, a);
vertex(250,250);

When I used random() or so on, the curves had been very crazy, so I didn't use the code. I thought after that, maybe not to use beziercurves because it could be complicated to make differents automatically ...

curveVertex(250, 250);
curveVertex(250, 250);
curveVertex(300, 275);
curveVertex(350, 350);
curveVertex(275, 400);
curveVertex(260, 450);
curveVertex(260, 450);
endShape();

But how can I fill the curves? With fill(0) an area under the curve got black ...

Okay...
Not exactly concrete code to build on, but a start...

You want to draw curves.
Have you looked at the Curve Tutorial?
If you start all of your curves in the center, then you should be able to achieve this...

For the coloring...

If you use the P2D renderer:

size(500, 500, P2D);

you can perform per-vertex coloring, like this:

beginShape();
vertex(250,250);
stroke(255, 0, 0);
curveVertex(250, 250);
curveVertex(250, 250);
curveVertex(300, 275);
stroke(0, 0, 255);
curveVertex(350, 350);
curveVertex(275, 400);
stroke(255, 255, 0);
curveVertex(260, 450);
curveVertex(260, 450);
endShape();

Of course, this undoubtedly produces nothing near what you want...

Sticking with the JAVA2D renderer, which draws things more accurately, you could split up the curves across multiple beginShape() / endShape() blocks, using different stroke() values for each one...
