Ouch. Emulator got killed, I think.

The processing window tells me "Device killed or disconnected."

I do not know how to get around this problem, please help.

If you run the Android SDK and AVD Manager (usually by typing android from the command line or going to the SDK folder/tools and double clicking on the android executable), do you have an entry called "Processing-Android-7" in the Virtual Devices section?

Yes, I checked the AVD manager andthere is an enttry in the Virtual Devices section titled "Processing-Android-7"

mmm, not sure. If you are running an sdk prior to the latest (r07), maybe you can try removing it and replacing by r07.

I'm getting this same error message- the emulator boots and works fine. The app just doesn't get installed.

i have same problem. all driwers are installed. all working with google app inventor, but with processing something wrong. my phone is

vodafone 845

When I trying connect to emulator or phone. both compilations ending with

"Device killed or disconnected"

dont know what to do....

Hey guys, I think I found a possible workaround for this issue.

First of all, it seems that the problem is due to some bug at the level of the Android SDK or Java, not Processing itself. I think this because if you try to launch the Processing AVD from the AVD manager, you actually get an error:

invalid command-line parameter: Files\Java\android-sdk-windows\tools/emulator-arm.exe.

Hint: use '@foo' to launch a virtual device named 'foo'.

please use -help for more information

So I just went ahead and try to launch the AVD from the command line:

cd c:\Files\Java\android-sdk-windows\tools

emulator-arm @Processing-0197

which actually works!

You can use this instance of the AVD from Processing. In some occasions it seemed that Processing couldn't connect to the emulator, but it was fixed by clicking on the "Android|Reset Connections" option.
