Currently it's possible for the original poster to delete a complete post
including all the responses.
Not only is this bad netiquette and detrimental to the knowledge-sharing philosophy of the forum. But it's also unfair that someone else is able to delete posts that are not theirs (except for of course the moderators). If anything, the original post should be deleted, but all the responses should remain intact. This became relevant to me, due to this forum post...

...to which both phi.lho and I responded. I also gave a fully annotated example. I don't care about the code. It only took 5 minutes to write. I'm talking about the principle. It's just being a total douchebag to delete everything once you get "your" answer.
