creating rectangle from text file and apply movement

I want to create a rectangle from a text file . I also want to create the movement (going forward) for that rectangle using the text file . so the positions should be updated and creates the movement.

how can I do this?

For a Start perform this with a rect without the text file.

Then move on.

Anyway, do you want to have the text in the text file:

draw rect

move forward

Then it would be useful to have other objects next to rect.

And other directions next to forward.

thanks , could you write a code as an example so that I could run it in processing , I'm new to processing .

for example our text file contains these items:

(18,100,6,2)

(18,101,6,2)

(18,102,6,2)

I want processing to read this and update object each time so that object move a head.

That's not the way to ask... rather write something and then show your code.

Do the for numbers mean x pos, y pos and width and height?

Read the reference to rect().

Read under learning the examples for movement.

but how it will update the positions as I want to create movement?

You go thru your lines with a for loop and each time delete the screen and Paint a complete new rect at position of that current line

Read about loadstring in the ref

could you help me with this ? it should read line by line but it just read the first line and then the screen is empty!
