Creating glossy effects

I would like to know if anyone knows of a cool way to create glossy effects using Processing.

I was thinking about sunflow but Hipsterinc's version can't do it but the recent ones seem to.
For example this picture

Do you think these type of graphics can be done with Processing ?

This definitely looks like a job for ray tracing. There seems to be a bit of bewildering choice out there povray, yafaray etc. Both potentially available from blender. I've just got the latest development version of blender to use povray-3.7.0.

I've also been messing with direct export to povray using a modified version of Guillaume LaBelles superCAD library. The original superCAD library will export a wavefront obj file that can be imported into blender. These C++ tracers are quicker than sunflow.
