Needs a lot of memory but works really well. I tried it with a few height maps from your flickr collection, just for the fun of it!

(BTW I think the link in the tutorial to the blob detection library got messed up up somehow.)

yeah, i forgot the http at the beginning of the link.
thx i fixed it.

about the contour maps. Did you resize them? like mentioned, it needs a lot of memory if the images are to large. for some good contours a size like 250x250pixels is already enough.

thanks cedric, actually i managed to solve that one already,now i'm looking into how i could apply some sort of mesh over the

thats actually what i do in my example posted at flickr. the only difference is using fill instead of stroke.

got it to work using
noStroke();
fill( val[x][y],255,255);

just seen your example on flickr now.
thanks for all the great help.
i ran over processing a couple of days ago while searching for triangulation/voronoi diagram.
pretty straight forward and good library, forum support.

I'm trying to figure out how to make an approximate 3D map using a set(rather small) of points.
