Creating a global score system

Hi guys!

I was looking for a way to create a quick global score system.

The only thing I really know about web coding and databases is how to use a CMS...

I did some research and the best option I could find was http://scoreninja.appspot.com/ ... (but i dont really know how to use it within processing)

anyone who has implemented a global score system for android before or if you could help?

ScoreNinja is a Java application, it is just a matter of adding the jar to the code folder of your sketch and importing it. Well, if Android programming works similarly to desktop programming...

score ninja is built for android score tables.... the only questions is... can I really just do that (what u just said) :D?

also when you say import... you just mean stick in a line of code which is:

import codeNinja.jar

probably wrong in so many ways... no idea how it is interepreted when importing a packaged package :D....

or does it do the importing for you.... but make it... invisible....?

Ouch, if you try to work with codeNinja.jar, you might have an issue...

No, in Java, you import stuff with the syntax:
import com.scoreninja.*;
import com.scoreninja.adapter.*;

The doc. of the library is a bit lacking, it seems one must read the source to get information... Apparently you use ScoreNinjaAdapter to update the score list, and ScoreNinja class to manage the high score table.

Oh cool...

I have tried to implement it now and I have a different problem... i get this error when I press a 'submit score' button that I implemented to run the onGameOver function.

Why? And if it fails and returns null, no wonders you get this NPE in onGameOver().
