CreateFont freezes

System is windows vista home premium 32 bit.
When I click tools->createfont and click OK it freezes.
I have tried many different fonts, many different sizes and waited up to 20 mins and it does not proceed.
Processing makes a nice way to talk to my arduino and this is a nuisance.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but the forum isn't very good.
