controlP5 - slider - VERTICAL fix

Hi there, is there any smart chance to avoid the automatic alignment of the SLIDER? I tried to extend the SLIDER and override the setSliderMode() function, but _myView is private/protected and I'm not able to access it (same for the private inner class SliderView).
Any ideas for quick fix?
Btw. I like to rebuild this pretty nice controlbehavior http://zugmonitor.sueddeutsche.de . Any ideas with using cp5?
