Sorry about the late reply and the delay in putting your answer as the best answer - real life intervened.

I must say, thats a nice example. My hats off to you.

Now, it works, it works great - until I decide to use a Button to pass the boolean value generated by the checkbox into the rest of the program, my code, heavily edited so you don't see the other stuff in it (boring Textfield stuff mostly):

In void setup () -

checkbox = controlP5.addCheckBox("checkBox",width/2,height/2);
  checkbox.addItem("Has preface?",0);

And the rest of the program -

void controlEvent(ControlEvent theEvent) {
  boolean haspreface = boolean((int)theEvent.group().arrayValue()[0]);
  println(haspreface);
}

void Generate() {
  println("Generating");
   println("Haspreface is: " + haspreface);
  }
 
Of course, theres an error. First up, the value of "haspreface" is false when the "Generate" button is pushed. This is even when the checkbox is indeed selected.

Then the program gives me this error: "24/10/2011 6:24:22 PM controlP5.ControlBroadcaster printMethodError" And goes on to say its a severe error, and that I should check to make sure no errors are being forwarded to the method.

Any help would be appreciated - but remember, I'm only learning at this stage =)

Additionally, would it be possible for me to embed graphics (say, JPG, BMP or PNG) into the window, as a "banner" of sorts? Thanks again!
