Hi,

Is it possible to type into controlP5 numberBox?
I think it's totally normal behaviour for standard number boxes (focus mouse on, then click on numberbox, then type numbers with keyboard, then press enter to evaluate) but it seems that this feature isn't implemented....

If it's possible to do it with controlP5, can somebody please help me with this?

Hi, by default this feature is not supported. but I was curious and came up with the following code. Click into the numberbox, the text will turn blue which indicated it can be edited. use backspace to delete text and type in the numbers you need. the input here is limited to 2 decimals but this can be changed inside the regex. confirm changes with 'return' or leave the numberbox with the mouse.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the reply!

But the code doesn't run: "The function getAction() does not exist"

I don't know if I'm missing something, I run version 2.0b5 on Ubuntu 10.10 machine.
It seems like getAction() is native java function, but unfortunately I have no idea about java...

All I can tell you is the installed Java on my machine, this is what I get when I do java -version on my terminal.

java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode, sharing)

forgot to mention that I was using processing 2.0b7 (which has required Event implementation updates) and controlP5 2.0.4
