ControlP5 dropdownList overlapping other Controls

Hi,

I am using a dropdownlist, my problem is, when i open it, it does not overlap other Controls. It seems like the other Controls are drawn after the Dropdownlist.

the bottom part of the Picture shows my Problem, the Controls are drawn over the dropdownlist.
I found this: http://forum.processing.org/topic/controlp5-depth
but its no solution for me, because i am adding many controls dynamically at runtime.

is there any other solution?

Ok i found a solution.

I just added 2 Groups

i added the dropdownlist to the second one.
i added all elements, that could be overlapped by the dropdownlist to the first one. :)

Hi asnota,

unfortunately the code is out of reach at this moment but I did something like this

               
                  cp5 = new ControlP5(this);
  
  // create 2 groups to show nesting of custom controllers and
  //   
  Group g1 = cp5.addGroup("a").setPosition(0,100).setWidth(180);
  Group g2 = cp5.addGroup("b").setPosition(0,10).setWidth(180);

Create 2 Groups, the first one will be rendered before the second one,

so Controls in the first group are always behind ones of the second group.

Then you can create a Button for example, and move it to the second group

if you want it to be in front.

                
                 new MyButton(cp5, "b1").setPosition(0, 0).setSize(180, 200).moveTo(g2);

                 Also this Solution worked for me 
                
                
                 I recommend to use that medthod: 
                 yourDropdownList.bringToFront(); like Andreas proposed, that worked fine for me
