Control movie with kinect hack. Is it possible?

Hi. I have little experience in programming. I wonder if there is any way to control a movie (advance, rewind, pause) using kinect hack libraries for processing. Is ti possible? Where should i start?

Sure this is possible.

I would start by getting a Kinect!

.... then....

(sorry for being a smartass!)

take a look at any of the libraries (I would opt towards the openNI wrapper for this, because of gesture detection)

and figure out how to detect and trigger events via a 'push' gesture for example... they are fairly well documented.

maybe just try to control the position of a simple geometric primitive to start...

then take a look at the core Movie library and look at the methods to control playback...

Thank you. Actually I have the kinect. haha.
The only thing I lack Know-programming in processing. But I shall begin to study today.
Some basic tutorial to get started?

Hi. Thanks for asking.
Well I have not really made much progress with it .
So I'm exploring options such as FAAST with binding keys. and gestures but still can not get it very accurate.
