So I've been searching the web for fixes to the applet 'class not found' error for hours now.

No matter what Processing file I try to export as an applet, I get this error, even with the examples included with Processing.

Somewhere in between installing the controlP5 library and updating my computer's (OSX Lion) Java I seem to have messed up Processing's ability to create applets. Up until then it was working perfectly, as I was making applets using the minim library.

Cache has been cleared, paths have been checked. The fact that the error is happening even with the default Processing examples leads me to believe it's something wrong with my Java environment.

Anyone have any ideas? At my wits end here :(

If you can paste the full error message, it can be more helpful. We don't even know which class is missing.

Sorry, the error message is always as follows. This is one of the default Processing examples "RadialGradient", it works in Firefox but throws this error in Chrome:

I've cleared my computer's cache and also Chrome's. I tested it on my Windows machine and everything works perfectly there as expected, even in Chrome.

I also have an applet using controlP5 that throws the same error in Chrome, but a white screen in Firefox (both on Mac and Windows). The .pde is called "waveform" and this is the Processing code:

I'm having the same errors. Might be the new Java "fixes" that Apple has implemented this week... although I haven't tried building applets in some time.

Seems the applet can't find the class with the sketch name. For example, my sketch is named "FinalProj2"
