Class is Missing for 'Export Application'

Though I have done this before with a different computer without any issue, I cannot get an application to export and run properly. As I export, I will see in the compiling log:

"Could not copy source file:

C:\Users...........Program_Name.java"

Then, when I attempt to open the application, it states:

"Could not find the main class. Program will exit!"

I have tried installing different Processing types in hopes that I might have just done that wrong, but nothing is working. I am guessing there is a basic mistake that I have overlooked, but I seem to be looking in the wrong direction. I appreciate any help.

(This is on Windows 7, 32 bit).

I would:
- First try and restart Processing, if you haven't done it already;
- Check that you have the right to copy files to the given path.

Thanks for a reply, Phi.Iho.

From what I have found, this seems to entirely be a Java based issue. Things I have tried:

Removing Processing
Uninstall Java
Install Processing (making sure it was the Java version)
Then, after that still failed, I tried installing the latest version of Java (though it was default from Java.com, not any JRE or JDK specifically)
Found the CLASS files in the temporary folder, copied them into the folder of the application

None of those seem to be working. By "right to copy" are you speaking of permission from IT? I wrote all the code from scratch, only importing the Serial library. Then lastly, the only possible tricky coding that I did that might cause a headache, is I am having it create a .xls file with the data it receives, but it simply saves it to the parent folder.

I've done this on other computers and have never had this issue, it's a bit frustrating that I can write complex code..... but can't hit 1 button to export it.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

For anyone who might find themselves in a similar position, I'd like to share with you what steps needed to be done to resolve it:

What is happening is the Export Application is only moving a selected few files into its own area, because of this there are major components missing. Here are the steps to take to make it work:

1.) Copy/Move your Application file, and the rxtxSerial.dll (if yours uses serial, or has such a file) into your main processing folder. This will be the one that shows the folders 'tools', 'modes', 'lib', etc. You should also see the main 'processing' Application as well. Just dump your files right in there, with no folder.

2.) Copy/Move your entire 'source' folder, into that same area. You do not move the contents individually, but the folder as a whole. Your 'source' folder should now sit with 'tools', 'modes', 'lib', etc.

3.) Your Application most likely created its own 'lib' folder. Copy all the contents from its 'lib', and paste them into processing's 'lib' folder. If there are duplicate files, feel free to overwrite with the new.

4.) (Optional) Your Application should now run. Feel free to make a shortcut of it, and move it to wherever you like.

Hopefully that will fix your problem, and eliminate the same headache I had for far too long.
