Hi,

I am going to be starting a project to detect coloured balls and display the number and colour of each.

Anyone help me starting this off?

Here's a start. This'll generate a random number of colored circles for you to "detect".

assuming you are using a few select colours for the balls... a fun way to do this would be to have a counter to determine how many times a certain coloured ball has been selected to draw..... a cool way to do this would be to use an array and set each value to true or false... and run it through a for loop.... and if the array value you are reading is a certain number it will render that ball a certain colour and add it to the 'count'. then for the next set of balls that gets drawn maybe you can decide to 'reset the count' by just setting the integer values you use for counting the coloured balls back to 0 (or adding it to an existing array if you want to refer back to it later in the game?)

thanks guys. I was thinking about using a camera to detect the balls on a snooker table. then when a ball goes missing(potted) that color ball and its associated value would be added to the players score. its a score keeping system. kinda cool dont ya think!
