Not a programming question at all, so I moved it.

Launched Chrome " Version 28.0.1500.72 m" on Windows 7, went to the great http://madebyevan.com/webgl-water/ demo and it ran fine.
I suggest doing an Internet wide search to see if others had your problem. Sometime, browser issues come from extensions, or other external problems.

Thanks for the quick response and forum correction Philho. I've been scrounging the untamed internet for the past few days lookin' for any one else with this issue and can't find nary a one. The closest I've found comes through a  blog for 3dtin, from April. Their solution is to open chrome by way of terminal, but this doesn't solve my issue, so I reckon it's not the same. I'm surprised I can't find any other users experiencing this. Plus, I know I'm not the only one here, because my roommate's macbook (osx10.7, mines 10.6) just dropped webgl in chrome as well. Its a puzzler for sure...it seems to be mac wide, but mac forums aren't sayin' anything either.

I feel the pain, sometime Firefox (which I use more) behave curiously true (like not accepting bookmarks or such) and it is hard to find a related information. That's why I mention extensions: sometime, it is a combination that isn't common and that cause trouble.
