hello,
after couple days browsing the forum and more on internet i couldn't figure out how to get an image from the opencv capture function with my DVCAM + firewire. I tryed 2 different USB webcams and one of them actually works, the other one leaves a black screen. So as the dvcam, and that's the one i want to use for the project.
I saw one solution that would be using processing capturing function then putting it within an opencv buffer. The main reason for using opencv was because processing capturing function periodically flood the processor which result in some latency in the image (or lower fps). I thought opencv would be a better choice for CPU performances, can anyone confirm this or has any suggestion?
And what is the reason i get a black screen on specific camera?
Any help welcome
