Can't get past "Starting build..."?

I downloaded 0194, and the latest version of the Android SDK, but when I try to launch an example sketch, either on the emulator or my Droid phone (both of which I've been successful at doing in the past), the sketch gets stuck at "starting build..." and I have a twinkly progress bar.

i've run tools/android to create a 2.1 AVM, and the SDK platform 2.1-update1, API 7, Revision 2. I've updated my path to include 'platform-tools'

any other ideas I could try?

Make sure your phone has USB debugging enabled, and also try resetting ADB (under the Android menu). Also do not run Eclipse or other applications that use ADB and otherwise, while trying to use Processing.

Ben,

I tried all that. Have USB debugging enabled, reset the ADB, didn't have Eclipse running.

I did verify that I could build and run a project in Eclipse, both in the emulator, and on the device. (Of course, I shut down Eclipse and reset the ADB before trying Processing again.)

Nothing shows up in the Processing console. The system (osx) console log says this:

Is the conflict in openGL vs. openGL2 causing it, maybe?

Same issue here.

my console also says

No, that error message only concerns Standard (Java) mode, it has nothing to do with Android.

I experienced this problem...

I believe this may be the fix (Or im sounding like a fool):

Make sure that when you create a new Virtual Device... and that it is named Processing-Android-7.....

I'm using Android API v8 and Android 2.2.

Hope this helped or even better fixed it!

Fix confirmed. Works for me ;-)...
But now I'm just getting a Google "Lake" picture in the emulator and NOT the result of the Processing example (hopefully) running :(...
Can somebody out there help me (or point to a hand-holding tutorial that shows the necessary steps to get one of the example files running on SDK's android simulator) -PLEEEZE !

Thanx,but I don't have an I-Phone - I use Android 2.1 on an HTC Desire HD.
And what do you mean with "green button on the left" ? And do you mean in the Processing panel or in the SDK ?

Hi Sternenwolf,

This tuto is not for iPhone ... it's showing an example for a motorola phone with android 2.1.

The "green button" is on the emulator (the AVD you have choose in Android>Android SDK & AVD Manager).
