Deadline: December 20, 2010
We encourage the Processing community to submit work for exhibition!
Overview
CAM is accepting submissions from new media artists and designers for artwork to be included in a Technology + Art + Design exhibition at the new Contemporary Art Museum (CAM), a museum of art and design in Raleigh, NC. CAM intends to include a broad range of artistic practices and is particularly interested in proposals of site-specific work that fully utilizes our space or engage the space in a nontraditional manner. Strong proposals will be clear and concise, will present innovative and engaging ideas, and will intend to draw a diverse group of participants and visitors.
Artworks chosen for the exhibition will:
+ Use digital technologies such as open source programming software or modified game engines (for example)
+ Engage our visitors physically as well as intellectually through interactive design or tangible user interfaces
+ Vary in scale, from room sized projected environments to smaller more intimate objects. Some non-object based online works without a physical gallery component may also be considered. We are most interested in work that necessitates a physical location in order to experience it.
+ Vary in media: 3D, 2D, screen based, virtual environments, augmented reality, mixed reality, music/sound device, audio visualization, data visualization, generative art, robotics, camera based interactivity, utilization of QR codes, etc…
