Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of any books documenting software art?
Admittedly, I am well aware of many books on software art, programming, and of course Processing etc.
What I am after, or wondering if this kind of thing exists - is something more along the lines of David Toops books like Haunted Weather or Ocean of Sound, or perhaps something like Seven Days in the Art World.
Its one thing to kind of read about an artist and their work, or an essay or collections on blogs. But the kinds of tales and worlds painted from the kind of writing I am talking about is kinda what I'm after.
Doesn't have to be the creative coding scene directly (although i think this would be a great idea for a book) - but just, general tech, current day stuff.
Whose the Rushkoff of the day, the Erik Davis, Toop, Gibson, S. Thompson etc... There's a whole world going on out there and it feels like no ones writing about it...
Best,
Matt
