Binary Clock Program

Hi, all. I'm new here but will be teaching a Processing class at a summer program at Yale. Would anyone be willing to donate their time to write a simple program in Processing that creates a binary clock? I want the kids to be able to manipulate the parameters in Processing, and then add some simple code to control other aspects like color and size.

Any help would be appreciated!

An important thing to teach to the kids is to know how to specify precisely what a program must do... What is the required input, if any, what is the desired output, what it should like and how it will evolve.
"binary clock" can be lot of things...

Yes, that's great! Can you change it so that it displays a time and gives them a chance to work it out in their heads before showing the right answer, then goes back to a new time?

tfguy44's program is showing the current time and it updates itself continuously. If you would like to have something like what you are describing the you will have to replace the hour(), minute(), and second() from the code and replace them with random numbers.

Thanks, you people are awesome. Can you give me an example?
e.g. What would the line of code look like to display 1:42:25 PM on the clock?

I slightly changed tfguy44's code to produce a random time instead of the current time. If you want to see 1:42:25, then comment out my code inside newTime() that makes a random time, and place this:

rHour = 1;
rMin = 42;
rSec = 25;

Here is the code, pressing 'n' produces a new random time and pressing 'a' shows the answer:
