Beginner Help regarding animating

Hello i've just been recently using processing for one of my classes and I need help in moving a sphere left and right. I know its something really simple and I have been looking at the reference guide but all i find is info on the translate tool and that would work except i need the sphere to go from point A to point B then back to point A again. Thanks for the help in advance !!!

As we often say, show your code!
You can use translate(), but in general, it is simpler just to draw the "sphere" (ellipse?) at the wanted coordinates.

hey sorry for late response but here is my code so far:

int num = 1;

float[] px = new float[num];

float[] py = new float[num];

void setup(){

size(400,400);

for(int i=0;i<num;i=i+5){

px[i]=0;

py[i]=200;

}

void draw(){

background(200);

for(int i=0;i<num;i=i+1){

px[i] = px[i] + 1;

py[i] = py[i] ;

//point(px, py);

ellipse(px[i],py[i],10,10);

}

I need the sphere to move back and forth not just one direction. Thanks for the help !
