The thing is in the past I have been able to use the examples for the effects package, but am no longer able to.
None of the examples work except for the LowPassConvolve which uses the Convolve effect and the UserDefinedEffect example. So essentially anything that uses a class that extends the IIRFilter fails, though that could be coincidental.

I'm using Processing 1.2 and a number of platforms, but mainly Windows Vista and 7.

Just wondering if you could give any of the examples a go yourself and tell me if you're coming across the same issue.

I just started using Processing 1.5 and now the examples work, but my own code is still returning the Null Pointer Exception for every effect I try to use apart from the Convolver, in the same way as before.

I can't understand why the Convolver will work but no other Filter will.
