Assign specific sounds to line shapes

Hello all ,

I'm very new at processing , so forgive me If my question is stupid..

I have some line shapes that appears randomly..(very basic stuf)..

I want to assign different sounds to each line when appears..

How can I do that?

I'm assuming that you want to map specific shapes to different sounds... and that you are already capable of playing the sounds.

Create an array of all of the different sounds...
Take the random number that is used to display the shape, and use that same number to access the corresponding array element...

Depending on your code setup, you may need to put this variable at the global level and reinitialize it every time you generate a new shape...

I have no idea about how to create an array..

Is there any source of reading or a video tutorial to have a start point..?
