Hello,

I am fairly new to processing and have a question about arrays:

I have a screen filled with 30 circles. I used arrays and random co-ordinates for the circles.

I wanted to make it so that when i click on a circle, it disappears.

My problem is how to let processing know where that circle belongs in the array i.e. its array position.

I would appreciate any help,

It might be Wise to post the code.

In general :

Save x and y in the array (using PVector) or in two arrays

Then in draw() for loop over the array(s)

when mouseX and mouseY is in the circle (use dist(); http://processing.org/reference/dist_.html ), copy the Last item on the found item (overwriting it) and then use shorten() to shorten the array(s)

When you click the mouse run some code like this in mousePressed(): (pseudo code below)

void mousePressed() {

int idOfCircle;

for (int i = 0; i < how many circles you have; i++) {

float x = circle's x position;

float y = circle's y position;

if (sqrt(sq(x-mouseX)+sq(y-mouseY)) < circle's radius) {

idOfCircle = i;

}
