Sketch running slow in MAC compared to PC... problem in code?

Hi All,

I am working on a code which is a tweak of Flocking sketch by Daniel Shiffman. This code has some PHP SQL added to document the inputs of users.

The code seems to work reasonably fast in PC. But in MAC its drastically slow. I would like to know if the problem is in the code or its the applet and OS's problem.

Please let me know if there is a better way of coding this to make it faster in both OS.

Not the answer your hoping for,

but i wanted you to know that on my mac it often flickers black.

P.s. what goes slow? Do you have a good graphic card in your mac?

Thank you for the quick response and bringing a new thing to my notice. The code should not flicker black ! OK I really need to get to the sketchbook again I think.

The simulation is about boids flocking around the screen, so the boid's movement is very slow. I wanted to know how can this be made faster... Also, I am not sure of the graphic card. I have heard from my team members saying that the simulation is very slow in their MAC. But it runs fast in my windows. So I was wondering in general if, MAC runs the applet slowly or the code itself is not written by best practice!
