I NEED HELP ASAP!

I just posted my first Android application to the Android market, but when I try buying it, I cannot install it because it is signed incorrectly. I signed it using

jarsigner -verbose -keystore <appname>-release-key.keystore c:\Desktop\<sketchname>\android\<appname>-unsigned.apk <your alias>

and then checked it using

jarsigner -verify c:\Desktop\<sketchname>\android\<appname>-unsigned.apk

and everything seemed fine.

What might I be doing wrong????

Did you zipaligned it after signing?

zipalign -v 4 c:\Desktop\<sketchname>\android\<appname>-unsigned.apk <appname>.apk

( zipalign comes with Android sdk )

Absolutely. I have repeated the whole process and re-uploaded to the Android market. Hopefully it will work this time.

Are these command lines the only way to generate an app for the Android Market now? Witih 1.5.1 I was able to simply use the Export menu item and then type

ant xxxxxxx-release.apk

Why is it getting more compicated rather than less?

this can't align the apk I think. Don't you need to sign your app ?
If you do, I think you would have to use android tool. (zipalign…)
