Hi folks

It's my first post here - please tell me if I should be looking elsewhere.

I'm trying to use blobs to reveal an image underneath - so picture 2 images, one behind the other, and I'd like to cut a hole (using a blob eventually) in the front image to reveal the one behind. I assume if this can be done with a rectangle it can be done with and openCV blob. I just don't know where to start.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

do you have a working code with an rectangle? if yes, i will help you to add the blobs... like you said, shouldn't be to hard.

Ha! The rectangle code is what I ain't got! I expect that's the tough bit, and I think I'm missing some basic conceptual stuff - I'm a bit of a beginner here.

I'm working at the rectangle, but not having a ton of luck. I guess _that_ should have been my question originally!

Okay - got it working with bg subtraction, but I'd like to try it using blobs also. The story so far is at:

Left to my own devices, I'd try and find a way to turn blobs into an image, then blur and mask like I'm doing now. Am I on the right track?
