First i loved it but bit by bit i'm starting to hate it.

Worked days!! on something in processing, now wanted to finish it in AE.

After effects makes stupid skips with my pdf (the blue line is a guide line to the left side of the B).

There goes my time... AAAAAAAARG

The animation looks so jaggy that there is no need to finish this.

This is in illustrator, equal distance as it should be:

I recently released a library that outputs from Processing in Adobe Illustrator 7.0 format (the last public specification): http://ignotus.com/ignocodelib

I don't know if it would help you or not. The output files it create can't be opened directly in AE, they have to be converted in Illustrator first. However, it should give very precise control over placement of graphics objects.

The PDFs output from Processing are sometimes a little odd, when opened in Illustrator at least. I haven't seen that they are inaccurate, but the way they represent geometry (separate objects for fill and stroke, for example) generally requires editing to arrive at a simpler format. That's one reason I wrote the library.

Nice one. Just curious. Would you say there is a benefit beside the mentioned ones of using it instead of the standard pdf export ? anything that is possible that wasnt before?

it doesnt help but i'm gladd to know about your library.

Gradient support would be great b.t.w.

And i meight can fix my problem by making the pdf's like 6 times bigger.

Only illustrator batch/actions can't change the artboard size.

So maybe javascript in ill can do it but i have no experience with that.

Else re create the pdf's with processing but then 6 times larger, problem is that the sketch gets so big that i can't see what's happening and it takes quite long.
